Epson refers to the Expression Home XP-422 as a “small in one”, which makes us laugh, but it is a compact inkjet multifunction peripheral. Download the latest driver printer for XP-322 in the links below.

Wi-Fi is available and there’s an SD card slot. However, automatic duplex printing (double-sided) is not possible. The rear tray holds 100 sheets of paper, while the printed pages are stored in a sturdy tray at the front.
Although the XP-422 has more features than an entry-level device it is still not able to access some of the fancy features on mid-range MFPs. Although NFC support is not a problem, there aren’t any downloadable modes and functions. This is unfortunate as they can be very useful like Epson XP-211 Printer. Cloud services such as Evernote and Dropbox are supported but cannot be configured directly from the printer like some of its competitors. You can scan to Evernote and Dropbox, but first, you need to set up one of these services as the destination for the Scan To Cloud function. This can be done by logging in to Epson Connect.
You can’t print photos or documents stored on the same cloud service. You can not make direct copies of other types of documents like PDFs, but you can scan to an SD card or print photos from it. Although this isn’t an office MFP it seems odd.
Although the XP-422 may not be the fastest MFP, it is quite quiet. The normal quality text was printed at a slow pace of 8.9 pages per hour (ppm), but this increased to 16.9ppm when the draft quality was used. The color printing process was slower than expected. Each 6×4″ photo took almost three minutes and our graphics-rich test took 2.4ppm. Scanning was more efficient, except for high resolution. A scan of a 6×4″ photograph at 1,200 dots per in (dpi), took almost two minutes.
