In recent years, we’ve been disappointed by a few Epson models. In some circumstances, they have failed to live up to their long-standing reputation for low-cost, dependable printing. To assist in low-cost mass production, metal was substituted with plastic, resulting in lighter-duty machinery. Epson, thankfully, continues to manufacture the occasional good model, such as the Office B1100. We’re hoping that the Expression WF-3010DW follows in the footsteps of the better-built variants.
The WF-3010DW is a tiny office router that provides WiFi and Ethernet connections to your network. Unfortunately, there is no Airplay compatibility for on-the-go printing for current mobile tablet users. A conventional USB cable can also be used to connect the machine to a PC or Mac computer.
This 3010DW model claims quicker printing speeds than the current line of Epson printers. The ISO/IEC 24734 numbers indicate a monochrome print speed of 15 pages per minute and a color print speed of 9.2 pages per minute. It prints at a fast pace of 38 pages per minute and can print on both sides.
The fact that it utilizes Apple T1291/T1292/T1293/T1294 ink cartridges is one of our favorite features of this machine. There are currently compatible and refillable versions available, making this a low-cost printer to operate. Refillable cartridges with auto-reset chips ARC are recommended. You may refill them again and again, reducing landfill waste.
Epson has included a large paper tray that accommodates between 200 and 250 A4 sheets of 80gm / 70gm paper, making it ideal for a small workplace. On longer print runs, this handy tool will save you time and effort. Duplex printing and heavier media support are also available on the WF 3010 DW.
If you’re considering purchasing this printer, keep in mind that it lacks a scanner and memory card slots. This printer is intended to be used as a stand-alone printer with a computer or Mac. The Epson Expression WF-3010DW, on the other hand, has a robust structure and provides affordable and consistent printing.
